Schemes: Sheep Welfare 2022 open for new entrants

🐑 The Sheep Welfare Scheme 2022 will continue for 2022 🐑

All eligible new entrants to sheep farming can apply to participate in the scheme. A new entrant is defined as an:

• applicant who has applied for a new herd number from January to December 31st in the year preceding the scheme year

• an applicant with an existing herd number who has not traded in sheep for a two year period up to 31st of October preceding the scheme year

All existing farmers in the scheme will automatically be enrolled in year six of this scheme and do not require any further action to take part

Please note 📝: The annual sheep census forms must also be returned by 31st of January. If filing online - forms must be completed by 14th of February 2022. Failure to complete will result in a financial penalty to relevant schemes.
